This week we will be looking at the 1000 reign of JESUS Christ as we look into the book of Revelation.
The blessed hope. The Messiah will come to reign on the earth for a 1000 years. You might wonder about what will happen to the the devil or the beast, the Antichrist, and the prophets that took part in the tribulation. Revelation 20:1-7 speaks about those who was working with the Antichrist and the devil.
In Revelation 19 we see those that will diedby the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the white horse. Their bodies will be left there so the birds will eat off of then.
Now in Revelation 20:1-7 reads as follows.
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison Revelation 20:1-7 KJV
The truth is here is Satan or the Devil will be capture. Once he is capture the will be put into chains. He then will be cast into the bottomless pit. They put a seal upon him so there will be no way out and nobody can get him out. For the deceiver will be locked up for 1000 year and during that time he won’t be able to deceive people.
Who will be living and reigning with Christ. The saints that never took the mark or worship the beast. Many who will be with Christ at this time died at the hand of the enemy. From being beheaded to many other factors. We know from the Revelation 19 those who come back with Christ was the army of God. Within that army was people who was caught up in the rapture. Now you have the first resurrection. As stated before those who will meet Jesus that day will be those that died within the tribulation period. They were faithful to God, for they didn’t take the mark or worship the beast. Wonder thing about all of this those who will be with Christ they will be priest of God and priest of Jesus. Yet in a short time 1000 years later Satan or the beast will be on the loose again.
Today we have seen what the future will hold at the time of the 1000 year rule and reign of Christ. We see Satan will be locked up and cast into a bottomless pit for that time period as well. Those who died for being faithful to God will be in the midst of the celebration of Christ rule on earth.
Again all of this will take place the time we don’t know but if you want to be coming with Christ on the clouds, now is the time to make the commitment to follow Christ and all of his was or righteousness.
The next topic we will look into the plan Satan will have trying to win back souls, but it will fail.
