Today we are taking a break from the book of Revelation about the tribulation Will be back on Sunday in the final days of the tribulation period as how it is written in Revelation. Today topic is someone on the line of Revelation and that is having a compassion or love for God that he wants. That type of love can be find also in Revelation.
So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:16 NIV
Its time for the believer, the church of Jesus Christ, those who been saved and been washed in his blood, to be on fire for Christ. Most Christian has lost their compassion or love for Christ. They have lost their first love. Meaning when people came to Christ they was on fire and want to change the word and tell everyone about their new found love. Over time because of the things people go through from family, work and even church the love of Christ isn’t there for most. Now is the time for the church the body of believer to be re awakening for Christ. Have that compassion, have that commitment, honor those things that Christ set before us.
I know most will read this and say i am already doing this, but where is it coming from out of love and commitment towards Christ or just out of a habit or a form. Once people know and understand the ways of the LORD, the life of JESUS CHRIST, and the purpose of the HOLY SPIRIT, they will have a love that goes beyond anything the mind can comprehend. God wants us to be hot for him, not lukewarm, just doing things to get by. Each day as we live out our lives it is a wonder from God. Knowing this why not honor and obey God as he wants us to.
The main reason behind all of this is we need to be on fire for God in a way that it was when we first became believers in Christ. A love or compassion so strong that we are willing to sacrifice and do those things in which Christ has us to do. Some people are very compassionate over their sports team or player that someone takes about their team or player that person get upset and ready to defend that team. This is how it should be in a life of a believer to defend the cause of Christ. Stand-up for God and his love, mercy and grace, knowing what Christ did for the world is a life changer. Besides this look how the Holy Spirit will and can empower us to do those things for Christ.We first must be a vessel to be used by him. Without us being willing to be use by God than he won’t be about to work in us. A heart that is willing to be use by God, God is saying yes. The reason is God see our heart, he see our faith and he know what we will do once the fire is kindled.
Remember it is up to you. God sees your heart and knows your mind. Are you ready for the fire to be rekindled are you ready to walk in a new awareness of Christ. Are you ready to be lead by the Holy Spirit like never before. Are you ready get on your mark and get set and Go for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. As we see what is going on in the earth its time to have that compassion, that love, the commitment toward Christ as it was when he first came into your life.
If you have a desire, to get back into the thick of things, to get back into serving God with a fire of compassion than all you have to do is ask. JESUS is there and he ready to receive you with arms wide open. Welcome back my son, welcome back my daughter. It’s been to long since I have felt you in my presence. Jesus will also say welcome home, and know that i always been here. now its time to stand-up for me and have the compassion, so others can see me in you. set the world ablaze with my love and compassion.
