The last time I posted what God did for me was the year i almost drowned at summer camp. The testimony wasn’t about me its all about the hand of God, and how he was my deliverer. With the quick acting people at the river they came to my aide and save me. Whither it was God himself or other people the key to all of this is somehow i lived to see another day. Today here is another story about how God for some unknown reason spared my life again.
It was back in the late 1980’s one cool spring morning and the Spirit of God had me to stop off at the church to do my daily prayer time. As I was praying God spoke and said turn to the Book on Daniel. Here is some of the passage I read at the time.
16 So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”17 A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed. 18 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.19 At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den.20 When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”21 Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! 22 My God sent his angel,and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.” Daniel 6:16-22
I didn’t understand why God wanted me to read from this passage of scripture, but I said a pray and went my way to school. I was driving the car and I took my eyes off the road and this is what happened. The car went up on the embankment then flipped, the roof of the car skidded on payment of the road. When all was said and done, all i remember the bible I had on the front set broke the passenger window. The can landed on all four wheels in an upright position and the bible was under the car.
The picture is of the car, the damage it was done. I walked away with a little burn on the finger from trying to get out of the car. God was with me that day. His angles was here to protect me from all hurt or harm. Yes it did happen, yes God did protect me from a life serious injury. That is the reason i have to praise Jesus daily because I he is able. Since he was able to bring me through it. Jesus is able to bring anybody out of anything if they have faith and don’t doubt.
This wasn’t that last time God showed up. He been protecting me all of my life for a reason and a purpose. So that people will understand and see His wonderful grace over it all. If there something you been running away from, or you feel like there is no hope and want to give up. Jesus the Christ is standing there to help you along the way. Just reach out to him and he will come into your life. To live for Christ is the best thing that a person can do. I can only boast about something I know, and what i know it that Christ is the life changer. Christ is my everything, most of all he is my Savior and Lord. Apart from Christ I am nothing.
